The Problem

Portfolio tools were broken

Every option was either too expensive (Webflow, Wix), too ugly (those old portfolio generators), too rigid (LinkedIn PDF exports), or required coding skills most students don't have yet.

I saw CS students sending Google Docs as their "portfolio" to companies. Developers with a 2012 WordPress site they haven't touched since. Talented people without any online presence at all.

So I built PortCraft. Fill a form, download an HTML file, upload it to GitHub Pages. Done. Free. Professional. Yours.

January 2025

The Idea

Frustrated with existing portfolio tools, I decided to build my own — a simple form that generates a real, downloadable portfolio in minutes.

March 2025

First Version Built

Basic form with live preview and one-click HTML download. Shared with friends — they loved it and asked for more features.

July 2025

Templates & Customization

Added Modern Dark, Neon Night, and Clean Light templates. Photo upload with base64 embedding. Accent color picker added.

January 2026

Full Product Launch

Complete multi-step builder with skill bars, project cards, education, experience sections and 3 layout styles. Launched publicly.

March 2026 — Now

Growing & Improving

Actively adding new features based on user feedback. More templates, better customization, and more coming soon.
